Me & Drumming
I was featured in an article in the local newspaper in December 2001 when I was two years old. My first "public" gig was at Church. I played along to a track of "Let Us Pray."  I was on local TV when I was 2 and again when I was 4. I began playing gigs when I was four yearas old.  I have played during breaks with my dad's band and at open jams. I also played for a "Relay For Life" which is a benefit for cancer. I have done two recordings, one on "Real People, Real Music" (Disc 1) and a track on a CD yet to be released. Most of my playing is done at home, but hopefully I'll get more gigs as I get older. In 2003 a talent coordinator for the "Steve Harvey" show called my mom and booked me on the show.  I was so excited about flying in a plane, but two days before we were supposed to go they cancelled me.   My Dad and I have done drum seminars at different schools in our area.  I have played halftime basketball shows for High Point University, Elon College, UNC-G, and the Women's ACC.  In March 2007 I was honored to be able to open up for the Chris Daughtry concert in Greensboro.  I've gotten to meet three "famous"   drummers - Bernard Purdie, Jeff Sipe, and Joey Barnes.  In May 2007 Nickelodeon's "Me TV" aired one of my videos.  My favorite drummer is Tony Royster Jr.  I fill in for my dad at First Wesleyan Church and hope to shoot some new drum videos this year.

My Dad is a drum teacher and he has taught me how to play.  I have also taken lessons from Pete Crawford at Greensboro College, who was my Dad's drum teacher when he was young.

The drumset I play most often now is a Yamaha Tour Kit .  I use a Ludwig snare drum with it.  I use both Sabian, Zildjian, and Paiste cymbals, and ProMark and VicFirth drum sticks.  My dad has a Ludwig kit that he plays on the road, and uses my Premier set to teach on at home.  I use LP percussion Congas, wood block, and cowbell.
